HotDocs software works hand in glove with your word processing and legal system software. Peachtek can show you how to use Word macros and Visual Basic code to leverage the connection.

If you are running MS Access 2010, we can show you how to create a fill-in-the-blank-form that collects information from a client. You forward the form by email. The responses are automatically uploaded into Access when you get the return email. You use a HotDocs database connection to feed the information to your word processing documents.

If you aren't running Access 2010, there are a number of ways that we can accomplish the same result. If the information comes from a client or another third party who is reasonably cooperative, there is usually no need for you to enter it yourself.

Speaking of Access, we can tweak an existing database with Visual Basic or start one from scratch.

HotDocs Software

Most courts have replaced pre-printed forms with PDF forms. The same holds true for many of the administrative agencies that you deal with. We can show you how to create a HotDocs form template that you use to fill in the PDF.

This makes it easier to enter the information in the first place. Plus, you can fill in the PDF fields with information that you previously entered into a different HotDocs document. Any new information that you enter in the PDF is saved to your HotDocs answer file and is re-used when you fill out more PDFs or generate word processing documents in the same legal matter.

We have already converted a number of common PDF forms to HotDocs form templates and can help you the others that you use frequently.

We have created a HotDocs routine that lets you copy address blocks from any source and paste them into HotDocs so that the block is broken down into its component parts, i.e. the Prefix ends up as the Prefix variable, the Address is separated out as the address, etc.
